Living History Day at the Rural Heritage Museum 2011

On October 22, 2011 the Rural Heritage Museum on Sharpsburg Pike in Boonsboro Md invited the public to their Second Annual Living History Day. The Village and Farmstead were open and full of historic interpreters and demonstrators offering a taste of what Washington County could have been like in the early to mid 1800s. Members of the Civil War Civilians of Franklin Co. Pa were among those that thoroughly enjoyed the days activities.

Sewing Party Preparations

Hello all,
I hope that this chilly weather has not caught everyone off guard and unprepared. At our Thursday Sewing Party we will be going over and finishing up anything we may need for the Living History Day at the Rural Heritage Museum this coming Saturday.

The weather is supposed to be nice but a little chilly, so full coats and hoods should not be necessary. However, layers, especially for the children, will most likely be very appropriate.

Let's also keep in mind any items that we would like to have on hand for the Remembrance Day Parade in Gettysburg next month. It may be VERY cold. Let us all be overly prepared for that up-coming event.

I look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday,
Jessica
