Lecture Update - Frederick County
The Frederick County Civil War Roundtable will meet at 7:30 PM Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the Monocacy National Battlefield Visitor Center, 5201 Urbana Pike (Route 355) Frederick Maryland.
Tracy Evans, Monocacy National Battlefield Park Ranger, Interpreter, and Curator will open the 2012 -2013 season with an intriguing two-part program on the significance of Lee’s famous lost Special Orders 191, and the myths and misconceptions surrounding the event.
Following Tracy’s PowerPoint presentation, view the original Special Orders 191, on loan from the Library of Congress, and tour Monocacy National Battlefield’s new exhibit of related documents and artifacts.
This sounds like a lot of fun and should be very educational. Hope to see you all Thursday, September 20th at the Monocacy National Battlefield Visitor's Center. Bring a friend.

Dancing in Fairfield
Here is the newest information on the informal dances in Fairfield:
"We hope to see many of you regularly on the second Saturday of the month, starting September 8, 2012. During the informal dances in Fairfield on September 8, October 13 and November 10, the dance master and mistress will review the dances they plan to program for the Remembrance Day Ball on November 17, 2012. The ball will be much more enjoyable if the participants have had a recent opportunity to practice the dances, so please try to attend one or more of the informal dances this fall."
That says it all. We hope to see you there!
