Living History Day at The Rural Heritage Museum
CWCFC members were demonstrating for the public at this years "Living History Day".
There were period toys and games...
"hands-on" activities for the public such as sewing, embroidery, crochet and tatting...
and they were set up just next to the flee circus. How fun is that?
They had so much fun and were kept so busy by the public that they didn't take many picture. Thankfully we have lots of pictures from last year.

Lecture Update - Frederick County
The Frederick County Civil War Roundtable will meet at 7:30 PM Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the Monocacy National Battlefield Visitor Center, 5201 Urbana Pike (Route 355) Frederick Maryland.
Tracy Evans, Monocacy National Battlefield Park Ranger, Interpreter, and Curator will open the 2012 -2013 season with an intriguing two-part program on the significance of Lee’s famous lost Special Orders 191, and the myths and misconceptions surrounding the event.
Following Tracy’s PowerPoint presentation, view the original Special Orders 191, on loan from the Library of Congress, and tour Monocacy National Battlefield’s new exhibit of related documents and artifacts.
This sounds like a lot of fun and should be very educational. Hope to see you all Thursday, September 20th at the Monocacy National Battlefield Visitor's Center. Bring a friend.
