Remembrance Day Parade Reminder

This is just a friendly reminder for those interested in the Remembrance Day Parade in Gettysburg. Here are the details:

November 17, 2012

Time: 1:00pm

An annual event held in conjunction with the Gettysburg Address anniversary. A parade of Civil War living history groups begins at 1:00pm.

The parade will form at 12:00 PM on
Lefever Street and move at 1:00 PM sharp. The route of the parade will be as follows; Exiting Lefever Street onto East Confederate Ave. and turning west onto East Middle Street. Upon striking Baltimore Street the parade will turn south and then veer south west onto Steinwehr Ave where it will terminate at the National Park.

Living History Day at The Rural Heritage Museum

CWCFC members were demonstrating for the public at this years "Living History Day".
 
 
There were period toys and games...

 
"hands-on" activities for the public such as sewing, embroidery, crochet and tatting...

 
and they were set up just next to the flee circus. How fun is that?

They had so much fun and were kept so busy by the public that they didn't take many picture. Thankfully we have lots of pictures from last year.
